Colorful Shibori: The Art of Fabric Surface Design (Sat, June 23)

from 60.00

Saturday, June 23rd, 1-4pm

Join us for this special workshop as we learn a variety of ways to make beautiful patterns in brilliant colors on natural fabric. Shibori, the ancient art of folding, tying, wrapping and clamping fabric to make resist patterns, is the inspiration for modern tie-dye. Once the resist is applied, your choices for adding colors with Procion dyes is limited only by your imagination! Create beautiful pieces that can be mounted as wall hangings or used to make functional or wearable art. No prior artistic experience is necessary.

Minimum of 3 participants, maximum of 7. All materials provided.

Location: Claudia’s Studio in Gunbarrel. Address provided after registration.
